Pay Range:$80,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually
The Structural Engineer possesses strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design in industrial settings working cross functionally with multi-discipline teams.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers field data and inspects sites and structures and ensures all calculations and design efforts to prepare deliverables
- Ensures structural design is accurate and coordinated within the model and drawings
- Coordinates and communicates establishing clear direction with designers on projects
- Establishes and manages their own engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects
- Writes project-based documents including studies, project notes, scope, close-out reports
- Selects appropriate construction materials
- Obtains plans and building regulation approvals
- Coordinates with outside consultants and contractors including geotechnical engineers, construction contractors, etc.
- Participates in construction support, startup, and commissioning efforts
- Signs off on drawing packages, if PE License is obtained
Qualifications
- 5+ years Structural Engineering experience designing structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field
- Skilled with Risa-3D
- Familiar with necessary codes: IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC, and NDS
- Experience and selecting construction materials, construction methods, and adhering to industry standards
- Strong structural analysis experience, including 3D and solid finite element modeling
- PE license preferred
