- Support the design, engineering, procurement, and product life cycle management of large-scale custom manufactured industrial equipment
- Focus on 3 Phase Power Distribution
- Produce power system designs for project applications
- Work cross-functionally with business development group, clients, vendors, engineering, and the project management group.
- Use AutoCAD (Electrical AutoCAD preferred) to create power one-line diagrams, Wiring diagrams, cable/conduit schedules, panel schedules, panel layouts and creating of BOMs.
- Conductor and raceway sizing
- Sizing and selection of power distribution equipment including switchgear, motor controls centers, panelboards, VFD panels, transformers, lightening panels and other electrical equipment
- Work with 480 VAC to 4,160 VAC 3-phase systems and equipment
- Client facing bridging the gap between engineering and the business development team
- Support engineers and Business Development to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Perform quality work safely, being detail-oriented with superior customer focus in a fast paced environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be subsisted for degree.
- 5+ years in application engineering, design engineering, or technical support in electrical distribution, controls, or automation.
- Experience with electrical power systems, protective devices and control schemes
- Experience with utility, industrial or data center electrical systems
- AutoCAD drafting experience beyond a basic level
- Experience with electrical equipment component vendors.
- Experience with utility, industrial or data center electrical systems
- Knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code for sizing and implementation of conductors, raceways, equipment clearances, and other code requirements.
- Knowledge of UL 508A, UL 891, NEC, and related standards.
- Experience developing drawings for fabrication of wireway systems is preferred
- Experience using ETAP electrical design and study software is preferred
