Electrical CAD Technician
Location: Kansas City, MO
Pay Range: $28.68 – $30.72 per hour

Summary
The Electrical CAD Technician will assist technical teams of detailers, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a full range of drawing production work.
- Produce project deliverables in an efficient and budget conscious manner.
- Assist with CAD drawing production and project execution.
- Printing, scanning and submitting drawing packages.
- Maintain high CAD proficiency and mastery of current CAD systems.
- Effectively use multiple application packages where necessary.
- Review and adhere to project scope, schedule and budget.
- Identification of priority tasks and implementing plans of execution.
- Communicate with team and management workload.
- Maintain record of client or company CAD standards.
- Provide quality feedback of work.
- Assist in the QA/QC process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology is Required.
Highly preferred:
- Specialized CAD certification preferred.
- Min completed Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting, or a related field. Bachelors degree in any Engineering field is not allowed for this position.
- 2+ years of experience as a designer OR drafter
- Electrical design experience OR Distribution design experience OR Overhead Electric experience OR GIS design experience
Plusses:
- Experience with DDS (Distribution Design Studio) software.
