Electrical Engineering Professional Career Level

Pay Range: $60.10 /hr. – $84.13 /hr.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interacting with the client, contractors, and site personnel.
- Designing, developing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD), scope of work (SOW) documents, in addition to design, construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team.
- Oversee engineering and construction for the facility power distributions system work (up to 13.8kV), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety systems, and fire alarm and detection systems. The work will include retrofit of existing building systems as well as new systems.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use.
- Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.
- Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications.
- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel.
