Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment

Pay Range: $50.00 – $95.00
Summary:
We are currently looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Department for a temporary field assignment in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity to get involved with exciting and challenging projects with long-lasting customers.
Responsibilities:
- Attend vendor and internal team meetings.
- Specify vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, vessel internals and other static process equipment.
- Prepare equipment data sheets, and full mechanical equipment and system specifications.
- Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations.
- Attend vendor design and fabrication kickoff meetings.
- Perform ASME/NBIC/API code repair and alteration calculations as well as FFS evaluations.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of static equipment experience for industrial applications.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working with ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and API Standards for static equipment.
- Strong Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Piping Codes.
- Experience using PRG Solutions Software (FEPipe, NozzlePro, etc.) for Analysis.
- Experience using HTRI for heat exchanger design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with COMPRESS pressure vessel design software.
- Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking.
