About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking experienced Mechanical Revit Designers to support a variety of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, data center, energy, and infrastructure projects across the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented design professionals with experience in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems design who enjoy working in collaborative engineering environments. Successful candidates will play a critical role in developing construction-ready design packages and BIM models while working alongside engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams.

Position Summary

As a Mechanical Revit Designer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and coordinating detailed 3D models and construction documents for mechanical systems. You will utilize Autodesk Revit and related design tools to support projects from conceptual design through construction.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical design skills, experience with HVAC, plumbing, process piping, or utility systems, and a thorough understanding of engineering design and drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed Revit models and construction documents for mechanical systems.
  • Produce HVAC, plumbing, piping, and utility system layouts and designs.
  • Create plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and installation details.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and process disciplines.
  • Participate in clash detection and multidisciplinary BIM coordination efforts.
  • Support engineers by incorporating design calculations and engineering requirements into project drawings.
  • Prepare construction drawing packages and project documentation.
  • Review vendor drawings and equipment submittals for integration into project designs.
  • Assist with field verification, as-built documentation, and drawing updates when required.
  • Maintain compliance with project standards, client requirements, and applicable industry codes.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control reviews of design deliverables.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, technical degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, BIM Designer, CAD Designer, or Revit Designer.
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience producing construction documents and BIM models for mechanical systems.
  • Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related building systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drafting standards and design practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design criteria.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD MEP and Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection workflows.
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, mission-critical, semiconductor, or data center projects.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, UPC, and related industry standards.
  • Experience performing field walks, site verification, and as-built documentation.
  • Understanding of construction means, methods, and installation practices.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers or leading small design teams.
