Process Department Manager
Pay Range: $185,000 – $200,000 annually
Location: Downers Grove, IL or Houston, TX

Job Description:
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team-player to lead / technically direct process design for new and existing facilities. Analyze, calculate, and design new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical and other industrial applications.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
-Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
– Provide technical direction for refinery and chemical process units and licensed technologies
-Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
-Lead Client and Contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
-Provide technical support for field execution, including outage / turnaround projects
-Assist in constructability planning, proposal and estimate development
Minimum Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
-Experience: Min Yr = 20+
-Licensure: P.E. Preferred
-Technical Skills: Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards and ASME codes required
-Strong technical knowledge of refinery and chemical plant unit operations
and/or licensed technologies
-Management: Experience mentoring and leading teams required
-Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
