Position Summary
The Process Project Manager provides leadership and guidance for the planning and execution of industrial process projects, including fluid and heat transfer systems. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining professionalism and client satisfaction. The Project Manager focuses on managing teams and projects rather than creating technical designs but must have a working understanding of process documentation such as P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met.

Communicate with clients, including travel to facilities for meetings, collecting information, and understanding process requirements.

Assist with oversight of engineering and installation personnel, reviewing calculations, drawings, and adherence to standards.

Coordinate internal activities, including engineering, material procurement, and fabrication, to maintain project timelines.

Track technical and fiscal progress of projects and report discrepancies or risks proactively.

Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to provide technical support, review proposals, and assist with change orders.

Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating personnel resources with the scheduler.

Provide on-site presence to direct team members, coordinate with clients, and manage contractors/trades.

Travel approximately 35% of the time (primarily within the Midwest; occasional national and international travel). Passport and eligibility to travel to Canada required.

Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Requirements

Associate degree minimum.

Preferred: BS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Food Science, Electrical Engineering, or Project Management).

Minimum 3 years of experience in fluid or thermal system/equipment design (sanitary food processing experience helpful).

Minimum 3 years of project management experience in construction or industrial process installation (sanitary food processing experience helpful).

Ability to travel 35% (primarily Midwest region).

High level of computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, AutoCAD).
