Salary Range: $190,000 – $240,000
Summary:
We are looking for a talented Project Director in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. This is a great opportunity to work with a high-performing team on interesting and challenging design projects for customers in the process, energy, and chemical industries. The Director will be responsible for engineering project delivery, best practices and procedures and capability growth. This individual shall demonstrate effective communication skills and participate in the growth (i.e. selection, training and development) of engineering project management professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Talent development, focused on both current and future engineering project management personnel.
- Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring and advice to less senior professionals and staff.
- Business acumen and coaching of all project leaders in delivering positive financial outcomes.
- Responsible for delivering the as-sold margins and cash performance across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with counterparts across Zachry regional offices to help realize our full enterprise strategy.
- Further develop and enhance our Best Practices and Procedures in the engineering project management and related functions.
- Promote our capabilities and experience to customers and at industry events.
- Responsible for growing service offerings and workload with existing customers and fostering relationships with potential new customers.
- Participate in negotiations for new contracts and change orders.
- Responsible to maintain proper staff levels to meet project requirements. Actively recruit and train personnel for projects as necessary.
- Ensures completion of projects to customer’s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contract requirements.
- Provide strong, effective and decisive leadership overseeing each project phase from planning through delivery.
- Assist Business Development and Operations with project strategy, forming execution teams, and incorporating these into proposals and presentations.
- Participate in negotiations for new contracts and change orders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline.
- Have a minimum of 15 years industry experience, with 10 years of Project Management experience.
- Experience managing small-large capital projects in the process, energy, and chemical industries.
- Experience in managing teams of 5 or more people.
