Title: Project Manager (Metals)
Direct Hire 
Arrangement: Onsite with an opportunity for hybrid (3 days on site and 2 days remote) 
Compensation: 100000-145000

Position Overview

The Project Manager (PM) will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, overseeing all phases from development to completion. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex industrial projects—ensuring profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. The PM will provide leadership, organization, and strategic direction to project teams while fostering strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison between the client, internal team members, and external partners.

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

  • Support business development activities by cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

  • Coordinate cross-discipline collaboration to ensure deliverables align with project goals.

  • Develop project execution strategies, review progress, and manage updates prior to release for permitting or construction.

  • Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget; issue and manage Change Authorizations as needed.

  • Lead project financial management, including pricing, invoicing, and cash flow oversight.

  • Prepare and review project documentation—scope statements, cost estimates, schedules, and client communications.

  • Negotiate project contracts and proposals to align with company objectives and profitability targets.

  • Track and report project performance metrics including cost, schedule, and quality indicators.

  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively, setting priorities and implementing corrective actions.

  • Implement cost-effective and innovative design and execution strategies to enhance project efficiency.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to project teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.

  • Partner with senior management to ensure alignment with divisional goals and client satisfaction.


Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field (required).

  • 5–10+ years of Project Management experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

  • PMP Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Strong understanding of A/E, AEPCM, and Design-Build delivery models.

  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations, contract administration, and risk management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with proven client-facing experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods; frequent walking, standing, climbing, or kneeling may be required.

  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision for design, documentation, and communication tasks.

  • May occasionally be required to travel by car or plane to project sites or company offices.

  • May be exposed to variable site conditions, including noise, temperature extremes, and confined spaces.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
