Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Low/Medium Voltage)
Location: New York – Latham 
Alternative Work Locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Manhattan, NY
Pay: $150,000–$160,000 (bonus discretionary)


Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Develop designs ranging from basic to highly complex for electrical systems including power distribution, protection and generation systems, facility power, and renewable energy/sustainability solutions.

  • Conduct power system studies and perform electrical calculations for systems such as lighting, communications, fire alarm, security, and other related systems.

  • Prepare technical documentation, white papers, and other materials to support knowledge management initiatives.

  • Conduct site reviews and ensure designs comply with project specifications, updating requirements as needed.

  • Collaborate with teams to respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and support client engagement activities.

  • Participate in conferences, symposia, and other events to enhance visibility of the company’s services.

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical training to junior engineers, and potentially supervise junior staff on projects.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Designing power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, or transit facilities.

  • Designing medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems (up to 38kV).

  • Knowledge of industry and federal codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, etc.).

  • Experience conducting power system analysis using software such as SKM Power Tools or ETAP.


Skills & Abilities

  • Expertise in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software, including 3D/4D design tools.

  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
