What You'll Do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for a wide range of industrial power and electrical systems projects. Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing electrical system designs for industrial and process facilities
  • Performing engineering calculations, studies, and technical analyses
  • Preparing engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Designing and reviewing power distribution systems, substations, and control systems
  • Conducting short circuit, arc flash, voltage drop, and load flow studies
  • Reviewing vendor drawings, technical submittals, and equipment specifications
  • Supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution
  • Leading project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables
  • Providing field support, troubleshooting, and installation oversight when required
  • Supporting design efforts utilizing industry-standard CAD, BIM, and electrical modeling tools
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and client requirements

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates typically possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, consulting, EPC, manufacturing, utility, or related environments
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure
  • Experience with single-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, and electrical design documentation
  • Understanding of NFPA, OSHA, IEEE, NEC, and related industry standards
  • Experience with power system modeling and electrical analysis software
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit or BIM platforms
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and project coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar power system modeling software
  • Experience with lighting design, grounding, and lightning protection systems
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems and hazardous area classification design
  • Telecommunications, data, and security systems design experience
  • Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient electrical system design
  • Utility interconnection and interface design experience
  • Heat tracing design experience
  • Previous leadership or project management responsibilities
