Senior Substation Project Manager
Location: Remote – active PE is a requirement 
Salary: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00

Who You Are
You enjoy project management and have expertise in the power industry. You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with direct experience working with utilities on power delivery projects, and an understanding of the overall design process. You’re highly motivated with at least 12 years of experience in the engineering of substations, including field experience, and at least 2 years of experience as a project engineer. A PMP certification is required.
You’re a people person with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with other team members. You are an expert at communicating highly technical issues with clients and management teams.
You’re a detailed and analytical enthusiast. You’re meticulous and have a knack for quality. We need someone who can strictly manage the overall design and project delivery process. You enjoy numbers and the audit process, but your delegation, mentoring, and team skills will also contribute to your success.
You’re proficient with business and engineering applications. Microsoft Office and Project proficiency and an understanding of CAD methods and procedures are a must.
You have a positive attitude and enjoy developing relationships with staff and clients alike. You enjoy leading and mentoring people and have the ability to properly delegate. Your strong organization and communication skills will contribute to your success.

What You’ll Do
You’ll lead, mentor, and manage a team of project staff — overseeing their workload, performance, and professional development — while ensuring high-quality deliverables through technical guidance and review.
You’ll be responsible for leading and managing signature projects, conducting project initiation and planning. You will develop and manage project plans, including budgets, schedules, resource plans, and communication plans. You will monitor progress and initiate action items to resolve exceptions or variances to the plan. You will provide monthly financial updates, initiate client invoicing, and follow through on receivables. Clients will know you as their point of contact and their key problem solver.
You’ll enhance and protect our reputation. You’ll ensure that management systems and processes for keeping our clients’ trust are followed and continually improved. You will act promptly to identify and manage risks and opportunities in achieving client satisfaction.
You’ll ensure adherence to client and industry standards. The details make a difference. You’ll apply clients’ standards, guidelines, specifications, practices, and procedures or appropriate industry standards. You’ll maintain project documentation, including calculations and project filing. You’ll also perform Quality Assurance Reviews.
You’ll assist in business development and marketing efforts. You’ll contribute to the proposal process for key clients or multi-divisional projects. You’ll also manage or assist in negotiating additional services for scope changes.

Starting salary is between $110,000 – $150,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
