About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking experienced Structural Revit Designers to support a diverse portfolio of building, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, and mission-critical projects across the United States.

This role is ideal for design professionals who enjoy working in collaborative engineering environments and have a passion for developing high-quality BIM models and construction documents. Successful candidates will work closely with Structural Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative structural solutions from concept through construction.

Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid environment from a local office while collaborating with project teams across multiple locations.

Position Summary

As a Structural Revit Designer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining structural BIM models and construction documents using Autodesk Revit and related design technologies. You will support structural engineering teams by producing accurate drawings, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and contributing to the successful execution of complex projects.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical drafting and modeling skills, experience working with structural systems, and a thorough understanding of BIM workflows and construction documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
  • Produce construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and details.
  • Create structural drawings for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems.
  • Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
  • Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection activities.
  • Collaborate with Structural Engineers to incorporate design criteria and engineering requirements into project deliverables.
  • Support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and project closeout.
  • Review and incorporate fabrication, shop, and vendor drawings where applicable.
  • Maintain drawing quality and adherence to project standards and BIM execution plans.
  • Assist with field verification, as-built documentation, and construction support activities as required.
  • Perform quality control reviews of models and drawings prior to project issuance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, BIM standards development, and workflow optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience developing structural construction documents and BIM models.
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience modeling structural steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, specifications, and design criteria.
  • Understanding of structural drafting standards and construction documentation practices.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar BIM platforms.
  • Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of structural detailing and fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with building codes and construction standards.
  • Experience participating in BIM coordination and clash detection meetings.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers or supporting BIM standards development.
  • Exposure to structural analysis workflows and engineering design processes.
